The yacht experience is just as much about the journey as it is the destination. With an 18m wide beam and six decks, there are extensive possibilities for luxury features.
Sea Hawk is a true expedition yacht. With maintenance friendly systems and an impressive range, it is designed for long haul expeditions and extensive exploration.
Some of the most beautiful locations on earth are protected by strict ecological restrictions. We have designed yachts that meet the stringent requirements of travelling through ecologically protected areas, so that these extraordinary and remote locations can be explored.
Yacht expedition is not about going rough, it's about access to the memorable exclusivity of unspoilt nature in comfort, safety and style.
Incorporating state of the art technology, Sea Hawk offers extensive remote monitoring of the engines and machinery. It detects required maintenance up to 6 months in advance and alerts to critical cases 7–30 days in advance. As a result, problems and operational trends are spotted before failures occur, resulting in proactive maintenance, optimum times between overhauls, less downtime and reduced costs.
The innovative Hawk Bow shape seamlessly combines beauty and functionality. It encloses the forecastle at the front of the ship, protecting systems that can get damaged or worn in heavy seas. Effectively 1.5 decks higher than a traditional bow, the shape is designed to break and throw aside large waves instead of scooping them up. This makes for more comfortable and efficient sailing through heavy seas.
The hull is designed for smooth and economic sailing in a wide range of conditions. It has large bilge keels and retractable fin stabilisers for efficient and steady sailing, and an ice friendly shape, so it can push through up to 80 cm of ice.
Sea Hawk is powered by a highly efficient and clean hybrid diesel-electric power system, adapted to future emission regulations. The four generators and two main engines can be used together or separately to power the ship in three modes.
The main engines power the yacht at speeds of up to 17.2 knots.
The generators power an electric motor for slow speed cruising and sailing without vibrations at speeds of up to 12 knots.
Using both the main engines and generators to power the ship it can reach speeds of up to 18.2 knots.
